FX10 Trigger

I am not sure what trigger set ups should I use.Need help. Its a 13b T motor with a 12A ditributor and 2 MSD 6AL to MAD blaster coils. Right now the trigger I am getting it from one of the MSD tacho out put. Its this correct? I notice while cranking the rpm is readding but it peaks out to 12000rpm. What does this mean? I get ingection and the fuel pump stays on while cranking.... It then tries to start but then dies.

Have you gone into the program and changed the trigger setup to Tacho Output, Rising Edge?

Also configured your number of rotors, rotary mode, etc., etc?

Is this an F10, F10A, F10X? DOS or Windows? Whats the serial number on the back of the ECU

Yes is set up Tach out Rising edge.

You mean that the set up for rotors should be 2 and rotary mode.
Right now is set up 4 Rotors. Is this incorrect?

Ill have to check the computer. Why do you ask this?

Yeah, in the F10X/E6X you actually set the number of cylinders to 4 when doing a 2 rotor motor, where as in the E8/E11 you actually indicate rotors. At any rate. If the signal you're getting from the MSD box is erratic, you will get erratic RPMs in the software and thus erratic injection pulses. Swap to the other Box's tacho output and see if that fixes it. If not, the ECU may need to get checked out.

Also, the signal wire you use will be the light green wire, not the thin yellow wire in the for core gray shielded wire. To which wire are you connecting it to?

Thanks. Just to let you know that I re-cheked all the harness grounds and found that I forgot to tighned the bolt. So no good ground. This fixed the problem.

I have one more issue.... When the MAP 3 bar is connected the car turns on and then it does not idle and shuts off. But when I disconnect the Vacc from the sensor it turna on and Idles just fine. Can it be a bad sensor? or I have the wrong settings on the computer? Does the MAP sensor need calibration?
