Free Green Wire in Main Harness Connector for E6k

I have been trying to resolve why I cannot get my e6k to function on a 2nd Gen. rebuilt s4 motor. The ECU was purchased from a member on here along with a terminated harness. I have read all of the discussions on the subject--HITman's site, a catalog's worth of Claudio's threads, etc. I have checked and rechecked my connections as well as cutting off and replacing the stock connectors to the CAS and elsewhere. The ECU communicates with an old laptop I have that reads DOS, have entered all of the settings correctly and have sensor readings for all of the relevant sensors. When I attempt to crank the motor, however, it is registering no RPMs on the Engine Data page. I am not getting a trigger signal to the ECU.

I finally decided to start checking continuity of the harness. Upon opening the main plastic connector to the ECU, I found a 20 gauge green wire that is bundled with a red, blue and yelllow wire in a shielded insulator that simply ends in mid-air like it was snipped off. I checked the rest of the pins in the connector to see if there was an open one or one that corresponded to the green wire. I did not see one. Is there a green wire that just deadends in the main connector? Or is this the wrong harness for this ECU? There is also a second shielded insulator bundle of the red, green, blue, and yellow wire that direct wire to the CAS, so I do not know the purpose of this second shielded bundle with the deadend green wire.

Thanks for any help.
