Haltech Engine Tune
Engine Tune
Hello guys, i have e6x and almost stock TII, instead exhaust, intake and injectors, cut egr and air pump, also i have wideband o2 sensor with gauge not connected to ecu. Boost solenoid also not connected to ecu/
I have a basic knowledge of the internal combustion engine, and i live in central Russia, so there are no nearby tuners of rotary engines on haltech...
I`m already install haltech, started the engine on a standard map for streetported motor, its idle on 1500rpm and 2.5ms inj time, but this map is too rich for this motor on other rpms.
how should I configure the ecu on the road? can you give me a more detailed strategy for action?
previously I never did it
sorry for my English

What program I can use for see maps and logs from e6x on my home PC under win7 64bit?
I did my primary map for the fuel based on the load and the time of the injectors at idle, as a linear function, for starters, try to portray in Paint
Today I made the setting for 1500rpm and 1000rpm, so when I release the clutch in first gear the engine is not stalling, just made richer few next load cell.
I do everything right? what should be the AFR at idle for ported motor? 1500rpms good for idling on ported motor? I installed a 1500 by screw bolt on throttle body/

I also have no real experience tuning a rotary.
However I can tell you that your chart shows a linear relationship in regards to Load, RPM. and Injection mS.
While this isn't necessarily a bad place to start, You will find that there will be significant deviations from linear in practice.
A street ported engine should be able to idle below 1500rpm. Really it should be able to achieve stable idle around 900rpm
As far as idle AFR I'd go no richer than you need in order to achieve a stable idle.
If you are tuning it on the street. Get someone to help and drive it around nice and steady at as many different loads and rpms as you can and adjust as necessary to get your target AFRs. Then fill in the remaining cells by interpolation/extrapolation.
as you get closer and closer to the target you'll be able to review datalogs and make adjustments accordingly.
Maybe someone else can voice an opinion here and make sure I am not misdirecting you.
