E8/11 users switching to Sport ecus aux/pwm output warning.

This is mainly for those switching from an E8/11 ecu over to the Platinum series ecu's.
It seems in power off ecu mode the outputs pull/switch to ground. What that mean is that anything that's wired to the aux/pwm outputs will stay switch/powered on if the relay for the device is not wired or using ignition power to activate it.

Haltech's description--->
"The Sport 1000 uses flyback diodes back to 12V on the PWM outputs rather than clamping them to GND like on the E8. What this means is that all devices connected to the PWM's must have switched power feeding them, not permanent 12V. This is the safer and more desirable configuration for auxiliary devices too as this ensures that the solenoid or relay etc, is de-powered when ignition is off.

You will have to alter your wiring to fix this problem by adding a relay or moving your power source for these devices, but you will be making your wiring more technically correct. All the factory wired vehicles that I've seen always switch the supply power to solenoids and devices. May eliminate some sources leakage current when car is off too, helping battery life when the car is stored for long periods.

This was changed since variable cam solenoids must have the flyback diodes to operate and this configuration is also much more robust.

The output actually doesn't go to GND, but your device is trying to feed the 12V ign power that is turned off, so current flows through all devices connected to 12V IGN."

Yeah, the idea is simple, just make sure your relays, solenoids, etc., activation source comes from 12V switched, mainly in the case of the relays. If you've wired a relay with pins 30 and 86 to battery, and pin 85 to the Haltech PWM Output, the device will stay on after shut down of the ECU
