Is the E6X able to read/use E6K maps???
After doing some reading it seems like a few E6X users are having trouble using the E6K maps.
Does anyone know FOR SURE if the E6X is able to read/use/etc the E6K maps?
Because if it isn't able to...people shouldn't even bother with the E6X...unless maps can be provided for it but I think that will be difficult...

yes, it CAN use them. You just have to import them. go to Alt + F (File), then choose import maps.
I know that it works, because I just installed an E6X in my friend's 10AE a couple of weeks ago. I used the OEM13BT map. No problems at all. It fired up on the first try with no tapping the gas or anything.
Hope this helps.

I've used three different E6K map with my E6X. Just doing as said. It's set up very well for it. When you import the map it will give you choices, on whether to import an E6K or E6X.
