E6K vs PFC +

Hi

May have leaped before looking, and, frankly, don't know where I'll land.

Just bought a Haltech E6K wired for the injectors (whatever that is) to replace my PowerFC. Now, I suppose asking those who are using the E6K already may not be the best place, but can someone outline for me the advantages of that unit over the PFC? Or should I stick with the PFC?

I've read on this forum that the E6K isn't so hot in running sequentials, which I intend to continue to do. And I expect to stay at 13 psi boost. Also, that there is an issue with the OMP.

To properly install the E6K, what else do I need? I have a laptop on which I've downloaded the latest s/w from the Haltech site. I have a wb 02 and controller.

Any help is appreciated.

Total control over fuel and ignition maps - your Power FC cannot do that unless you have the master program to change the base map.

Option to easily and economically run up to 30psi - Power FC requires optional ($$$) boost sensor.

Brand new harness and wiring over stock wires

Power FC does gave the advantage of ease on installation, control of stock OMP, and use of stock sequential system.

No direct control over sequentials or stock OMP.

Sensors and install
Hope your laptop isn't too new - it runs better on older systems.
Forget running it on XP, and it's a dog on Win2K.
Laptop has a DB9 COM port, right?
