Dead Ign Driver?

Recently trying to get my car ready for dyno, I've noticed a huge problem with low rpm boost, went to check the zero on my timing since AFR's and timing seem fine, and no leading spark what so ever except for a single arc when you turn the key to on.

Running E6X, stock FC coils, just zero'd timing 2-3 weeks ago using L1 when i put the new motor in. Car starts, idles and runs ok on just trailings. Runs great after 3.5-4k in boost and under 4k in vacuum runs great, hesitates badly in boost under 3.5k, obviously running on just trailings is huge hinderance right now. I only know this because I thought all plugs were firing because they were a week or so ago, now that I know what is going on its only seen vacuum.

Checked leading coil connector, have 12v at one wire, and I swear I had varying DC voltage while spinning a spare CAS, but the coil will not fire properly. (can't recall wire colors but I double checked with diagrams earlier and they are correct) Coil is heavily grounded as well.

Swapped in a known good coil, no fire.

Swapped in a known good E6X with my exact map loaded into it, Leading coils FIRE PROPERLY!

Obviously I'll be calling Haltech come monday, but I wanted to check a few things until then, anything I can try before the weekend is up.

Like I noticed the numbers on my friends haltech box were much higher than the ones on mine, where there different E6X firmware builds? Anyway I can try updating them? I didn't see anything in the Halwin software about doing so?

Is there anyway to do a hard restore of my E6X? Or anything at all to try before I send my ecu to haltech or just upgrade to a newer unit?

Also does anyone know what the typical price is for a repair?

Thanks for any input! It's much appreciated!

Matt

Thanks for the input guys! haha just playing.

Anyways for anyone curious, or searching and coming across this thread.

Sent the E6X to Haltech USA office in Kentucky. They had it for about ten days after the confirmed delivery, didn't receive a call. I called them on the tenth day, they informed me it was indeed a bad ignition 1 driver, which was already replaced at the time of my call, they then charged me $75+shipping and its on its way back to me now.

So for anyone wondering, if you are %100 sure your haltech has burned something up, and its not your wiring or setup (Preferably confirmed by swapping a known good haltech ecu into your harness with your same map loaded) for around two weeks and under a hundred bucks you can have it repaired.

I will of course update this one last time to confirm the repair preformed at haltech usa works out well.
