Neither will fit properly. What engine/throttle body are you working with?

Well, the problem is that the Haltec/Bosch TPS is made a for a common 8mm shaft with a D flat. The throttle shaft on the 2nd gen is 10mm with a double flat. So you need to work the shaft to get the new TPS to fit. Rarely does anyone do it corectly and not end up with a sloppy fitting mess. Also, the newer Bosch TPS that Haltech offers has a closed end versus the open end of the old Ford TPS. So the shaft will need to be cut down in length. The best solution, to make sure everything fits properly and there is no slop, is to use the whole S5 assembly.

If you really want to use the Haltech/Bosch part, you need the clockwise version and we have them in stock.

I have a rotating TPS on my S4 throttle body it rotates clcokwise, I am not sure what TPS it is but ludwig is right about the shaft differences. I will take a pic tonight of my setup. I have no idea what tps it is but is a double flat if I remember correctly

You may be a hero to everone with an S4 if you have one that fits without modification!

I hated the plunger type tps.I went s5 on with the Haltech and I still hated it.
I went FD upper on my TII and now I am happy.
Cost to change my TPS?..about 400 bucks!.(upper mani,tb,tps,elbow,pipe,spacer,gaskets.)
I am now wondering, just how bad did I hate it?..lol!
That said,I can't wait for those pics too!

nothing fancy just the right bends in the right place and a couple holes drilled to mount it and let it rotate

Yeah, that's the old Ford sensor. No longer available through Haltech, but every autoparts store can get them. Actually had a bunch of them fail before Haltech went to the Bosch sensor.

anyone know the part number for the Ford TPS or the car it came off of? My throttle body had the 8mm D-shaft and the TPS needs to be pass through unlike the ones Haltech now supplies...
