Changing rpm points
Thanks to Ted and Claudio, Ive been able to get my car running pretty good, on one of Claudio's Base map, slightly altered. I'd like to change the rpm points in the map. The car is never goint to see 16000 rpm, obviosly so I would like too split the RPM point down to a max of 8000 and have rpm points every 250 rpm insted of every 500. I figured out how to do this on the text view. What I hoping is that I can change the rpm point, and have halwin, average the 2 existing points, ie 1000 and 1500 and fill in the new 1250 point.
Can halwin do this?
If not, do you guys no if there is a way to do this with excell, or would I be stuck manually doing it?
Is it worth doing? Is some reason this is a bad idea ?
Thanks,,

Yes, Halwin CAN do this for you, but bare in mind, that when you go to the Variable RPM Points option in the Options menu, and click on the SET LOW RANGE button, then Apply, your RPM points will be now adjusted to the new points distribution.
BUT! here is the kicker, your previous map "allocation", if you will, will be slightly different since the resolution is somewhat "moved", so, what you need to do is a sort of compression/averaging of the different RPM points so that when you fire it up again its not too off. Another way of simplifying the explanation is this: for Ex. the previous 7000RPM map bars are now at the 2500RPM point, because of the change.
Is that too confusing? Let me know.
