bucking problems, working with the stagging bar

I finally got to drive my car yesterday and wow, it feels great, but it will not transition into boost. The car sputs and sputters and falls on its face. It will hit 7lbs of boost or so and then when the car bucks it drops down to 0lbs.

I found a new map from claudio using 800cc secondaries. Which I will try tonite

Right not all I did was put in my 720cc and subract -31% from all of the rpm ranges above the staging bar.

My staging bar is set at 0, but when I move it over to bar 14 (aka 2psi) there is a sever drop off on bar height.....do I need to linearize this?I am asssuming the last two bars are now the job of the primary injectors.

Other than that the car runs great but hits a wall once boost comes in. I have not messed with the timing so I cant see how that would be a problem. I have set and zero'd it in, but not messed with advance or split.

So it has to be a fuel issue.

I am getting my wideband tonite and see whats really going on.

Ok I think I have one solution to my problem. The guys I bought my 720's from said they where from a GSL-SC.

Now my dumbass just dropped these in and scaled them down 31%.

My car is a S4 T2 with stock 550 primaries....are these high impedance?

I think the GSL injectors are low impedance, so do I need to change this in haltech and how do I do this. This might be why I am buckin gif I am running low impedance injecgtors improperly.

You really need to find a competent tuner and pay them to tune the car.

You're asking very basic tuning questions that are all answered in the Haltech manual.

1) You can't expect to just punch in a # to scale the fuel maps down and expect everything to work.

2) The E6K can handle high or low impedence (so long as it's doesn't drop below 4A / 1A current).

If memory serves, the 12A injectors, they are either orange or blue and they are 800cc's not 720s.

Also, i always like to use the 12th bar or the absolute closest one to 0psi, and the stagging point is never felt when i tune the car right.

yes these injectors are orange.

So the haltech automaticly adjusts for the injectors whether it be low or high impedance?

I thought I would have to change a setting somewhere.
Claudio did you email me that map?

well guys she runs like a champ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got the wideband hooked up today, found out it was running super lean. When I installed the 720's and scaled the maps down 31% and was running in the 16's and 17's!!!

I had to add 27% more fuel after I scaled them down to get my afr in the 12's. Now I am running 12-low 11's in boost and 14.5 while cruising.

No more bucking and I moved my staging bar to bar 14 not bar 12, I might move it back cause I Am worried about duty cycle in vaccum and 1-2lbs of boost on the highway.

All in all the car is awesome. Breaks loose in 1st and all through 2nd. my wastegate port job holds a steady 7-8lbs of boost.

I will be buying tires next and a boost controller after that. I cant even put the power down onthe stock tires which are 195 potenza's.

Anyways thanks a million for everyones help, once I get here smoothed out I will do a front mount and a BNR big turbo, shoot for pump gas 375-400whp.

Claudio and RETed you guys where very patient and also Jrat. I asked a lot of questions but its better to ask first instead of guessing and blowing a motor.
