Autronic 500R CDI with Haltech E6X Question?

I have just bought a 500R box to run with my Mercury coils.

Is there anyone that got a wiering diagram for connecting it to a E6X?

There was no documentation with the CDI box.

Did you buy this used? did you try their website? if you find the input and output wires it, it shouldnt be that difficult to connect, after all, its just a CDI.

here's a pdf of the pinouts.

Whatever output you hook up to the cdi's i/p will fire that channel.
It's very straight forward...

It was a brand new one, but did not come in a box or anything and no manual.

But hooked it upp yesterday. Borrowed a freinds diagram. So it should work. Have not tried starting the car yet, since the battery was flat

Like IGN 1 in is Leading out from Haltech to IGN 1 in on autronic. And then Coil 1 out is for Leading 1 Coil and so on

Yeah it looked easy. And it was easy.

I just hope the car starts

Found another problem but might be because of the battery beeing almost flat. The fuel pump would not prime up enough fuel pressure.

Oh and here is a smal pic of the car

Update

I got it to run today, but it's so rich, even with the same map from last year. Only change is alot bigger ports, Autronic 500R box and mercury coils.

Tried to ajust the fuel but it's so rich. I hafto be on the throttle to keep it running.

My setup is also a 500R (thanks Enzo!) triggered by an E6k, but I still have some glitches (poor idle, retune) to work out. Maybe during R&R from from Iraq.

Here is one thought that I've been thinking about when you say it's "so rich:" The more complete the charge intake is combusted (thanks to increase ignition effieiciency), the more rich it will display on a wideband, since less of the O2 makes it out the exhaust. I notice a similar effect on my first drive.

As for my glitch, my next troubleshooting step will be to wind the wires going to the CDI. I suspect my poor idle is the symptom of inductance for not having twisted the the wires. I should have known better. Unfortunately, if it's not that, then it's going to get complicated to find, since I've triple checked my wiring from the CDI back the to E6K end of the EFI harness

For the future reference of others, I've attached a E6k-to-500R wiring diagram (created by Autronic's Ray Hall).
