Hi, I am having trouble with the wiring in my 88 Turbo II. I want to remove the old (original) wiring harness, and replace it. FC ,Haltech E6X is what I will be putting in it's place. Problem is I can't seem to find a diagram on what I should be removing and what stays. Any info you may have on this please let me know. Thank-you.

Try the 550/1600 combination map and lower the entire thing about 5% and go from there.

If you need wiring diagram and technical info on RX-7's go to www.iluvmyrx7.com there you will find everything you need.

Also, googling "Haltech Installation" will probably bring up some good pointers from people who have documented it.

What do you mean, to my knowledge all of my maps have the stagging bar set at #12, right at the zero boost point.

If something is wrong with one of them please let me know so i can fix it.

Thanks,

Hey whats up this rx7 i am suppose to be gettin today is tuned for 28psi but runs 10psi daily. It has 1700cc injectors all across, T77 Turbo, FMIC, 3in" exhaust, 4" intake, Streetport, and a haltech e6k. I was wondering if anyone has a map where i could run 10psi. The guy said it runs to rich n no one near him can tune it.

Ok, first off, explain something, that car is runing alcohol or gasoline? second, the car is tuned for 28psi and not for 10? If this is gasoline, i would think that the size of the injectors is too big, for idling purposes, i tried to do this with a street ported motor, the 1600 primaries dont idle bellow 2000rpms.

Well for what its worth, you can sell that pair of 1600 primaries and get your money back, im sure anyone can hit you up for them. After all, we all need them as secondaries.

New Map for you guys to tinker with. Its basically my S6 map, but for the S5 and S4 with 550/1600 combo. And tooth offset 11, so remember to zero in the timing always when you use a new map.

E6X for Series 4/5 with 550/1600cc injectors and some mods.

Any reports or comments on these maps is welcomed.

BUMP. Just in case anybody needs help with maps. Please remember to properly read the name and options on each map, and what ECU its for. If someone needs a specific ECU or setup, please let me know, i have base maps for ALL haltech ECUs and the more popular injector combinations.

hey claudio, you you have any map files for E8's or E11's??

i have an extend ported s5, im installing an e8 next week, and am after a few maps to check out before i start.

i'm more concerned with ignition maps, (both main, and trailing split) as i have a Wideband UEGO for fuel tuning.

i will have a EGT meter next week as well, so any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

i know a dyno is optimum for ignition tuning to develop peak torque at each map point, but i'd like to get a good on-the-street tune before i hit a dyno to fine tune it.

What exact E8 or E11 do you have, what firmware? This is very important.

im running Halwin 1.62 on build 29 firmware (latest available)

i'd be happy with 32x32 excel spreadsheets for fuel and ignition, as long as the correction maps were zero at normal engine operating point.

i just want to see what ignition timing and split people are running.

also, in the new E8 and E11's is it possible under certain circumstances for the timing to be retarded past the split point??? (so the trailing fire first??)
i know this was a problem in earler E6 ecu's.

cheers
Alex

That requires a lot of work on the engine/car you have to get it that perfect, so a basemap would never be that close. But if you give me injector size, mod list, fuel you will use, ignition setup and power level, i could give you those excel 32x32 spreadsheets of aproximate values.

Any E8 maps? Or are not many people running the E8 yet?

FYI, 4x720cc injectors, 60-1 turbo, FMIC, 3" ehxuast, stock ignition, I'm assuming stock ports, it's a J-spec S5 motor

i'd like to take a look at some 2.5 bar maps if you have any for FD on stock ports.

Actually i only have stock S4/S5 maps, but its basically the same, mS times vary of course, since the stock S6 has better flow, and of course the ignition configuration is different, you use direct fire and not the toggle option, and finally, the timing and split maps, since everybody's school of experience is different, but the general rule of thumb is, where ever you make the best torque with the gas you have, on the engine you're tuning, will be your own ignition map.

ok, my mods (directly related to engine operation) are:

series 5 engine recently rebuilt, with stock intake manifold, 2mm seals, throttle body mod has been done.
4x 550cc injectors
haltech e8, with 3 bar map sensor, haltech air and water sensors, 0-9000rpm default haltech map RPM points
extend port intake and exhaust
3" exhaust from turbo with no cat
stock s5 turbo, stock top mount
bosch 023 600hp fuel pump
aeromotive a1000 fuel reg
16" thermo fan

i will be using BP ultimate 98 octane (Australia)

im after a map for fuel, ignition and split timing.

upgrades for later this year i have planned are:

front mount cooler, 1600cc secondaries, t04e/60-1 p-trim turbo, tial 44mm gate.

anything else you need to know?
thanks alot claudio.

Here is the my first version of an E11/E8 map for the 13BT S4 or S5 motors. The map is set up for direct fire so i would recommend using the LS1 coils available from Haltech, if you feel you want to change it to use the stock ignition components please feel free to do so.

E8/E11 map for Stock 13BT engine, stock injectors, stock intercooler, stock turbo. Dont forget to zero in your timing.

This is basically an X/K map updated with E8/E11 parameters. Its based on those maps so i know that fuel and ignition wise they should be fine, so please revise it and go through the outputs so your configuration is set for what the map is intended. If you have bigger injectors or upgraded turbo there will be additional tuning required.
