Any way of using E6K as a two step?

Need a 2 step. Is there a way to make the E6K work as a 2 step?

Sure, you need to use the aux in for trigger and set that up to trigger the aux RPM limit...

Oops, it's not the Aux. In.

Within the E6K program, hit CTRL-n and change "Spare Input Function" to "Aux. Rpm Limit".

Let me check how to wire in the switch...

If you're running forced induction, you can run the anti-lag system your launch system and run a little boost off the line.

Ok, wire in the switch in the Spare A/D wiring bundle.

red/black is the Spare A/D signal.
orange is +5VDC.

Wire the switch between the two wires.
I think there's a GM plug that holds all three (third one is black = ground) wires, so you might need to cut them out of the harness or at least splice into those wires.

Good luck!

Which is better, or safer, fuel cut, or ignition cut?

If you're going to cut your stock wires off the clutch switch, then yes, you can do this.

Fuel cut is safer.  Ignition cut is mor violent.
Try fuel cut first and see if it works for you.
Try the ignition cut just to see what it'll do for you - keep in mind, don't hold it too long on ignition cut, as the burning fuel can damage your exhaust system.

The ignition cut reacts faster, but it's more violent to the exhaust system.

No, we run decicated mometary switches in your hand (or mounted in the steering wheel).  Your arm reacts faster than your leg.

If you're going to drag racing, you might look into running the anti-lag system to build boost off the line?

The Haltech E6K can function as a flat-shift switch.
You can toggle the Aux. In setting to "flat shift switch" and wire the green wire as such.

I know this is an old thread but i just had a simple question. So the spare a/d wire is the input wire that recieves the 5v reference to activate the 2 step, is this correct?
