well nothing worked. tried my old good setup (old laptop running ME with built in serial plug) directly up to the ecu with no luck. tried a HP vista setup (running dosbox and usb-serial adapter w/ everything running right) directly up to the ecu with no luck. opened up the serial plug from the ecu and the 2 wires are still good to go. so now im taking my old ME setup and tryn to install windows 98 and see what that does.

Just some thoughts... does the car still run? Perhaps a fuse blew and the haltech itself isn't turning on.

 

yep it runs...from what i can hear, sounds like its still running my old map. still tryn to figure out windowsME so i can reformat to windows 98

 

I am having the exact same problem

 

my hp xp running dosbox just started working......the only thing i changed from the last time i tried with that laptop was changed it from fullscreen startup to normal (haltech software)......tried it twic already and worked normal
