12v switch

OK i searched and saw that ReTed said to put it the 12v switch to the the ignitor. SO i tested the ignitor wire the black with white tracer and it dosent have power while the engine is being cranked. Also i was told that there was a black with white tracer under the dash that i needed to tap and i tested those wires the where black w/ white tracer and non of them had power while cranking. K so i hooked it to the battery for now, but i would like to do this right. Let me know where there is 12v switch that has power while cranking! thnaks

What kinda car?

For an FC, you want to tap the "IG1" lead on the ignition switch.

Sorry its for a third gen! I think the fact that im not getting power under cranking to the ignitor, is my problem for the car not starting up right away and when i left off the engine it usually starts! Maybe i am testing the wrong wire? It supposed to be the black one on a FD, i think
thnaks
