Hello,

I have some issue finding some Alternator for my RX7... I looked for days on the internet without success. (I just bought the car, my dream car to be honest). Maybe you guys can help me ?

Model : Mazda RX7 FD3S from 1993.

Issue : Alternator is dead, need to change it

Question : Is the RX8 alternator compatible with RX7 ? Can I install it without mods ? it is bolt on ?

I am quite new to Rotary engines, I think the Engine base is same between RX7 FD gen and RX8 gen.. So I was wondering if the Alternator of the RX8 may be used without mods on the FD... (as the alt as the same technical spec, and looks identical with RX7 one.)

The fd alternator isn't rare or difficult to find. Irp has them in upgraded for and I'm sure fritz has plenty. Did you make a thread in the wtb section?

Hey cr-rex, thanks for your answer.
I forgot to precise that I live in France. And it's hard to find one here (all out of stock).
I am definitely not a forum guy. It's new to me, what is the '' wtb section'' Please ?
