*HALTECH EXPERTS* How does this Trailing split map look?

Having trouble with detonation that is being caused by the trailing coil in high boost (8-10psi).

Wiring is correct.

Wires in the correct location.

No detonation with trailing disconnected.

Does this map look ok?

Heres my timing map

Bump

I just realized these are the Haltech Base Maps. I was told these were tuned. Im getting detonation on high boost. FML

What's high boost?

That is the Haltech base map. The split map isn't terrible. The base ignition map is terribly retarded in positive manifold pressure.

Running a little under 10 psi. My tuner said he tuned it, now he says he didnt but the base map is fine. he said he runs 20 psi on the base map and its very conservative.

Its just barely tinking on full throttle pulls, 2nd 3rd gear

When i disconnect the T coil it goes away.

is the trailing working correctly? like have you put a timing light on it and made sure that its correct? i'm assuming you've got at least the correct heat range plugs in it, if not something colder.

attached are the S5 T2 timing maps, the load units are not comparable, but since the RPM is, their full load and no load rows are comparable.

they run a little more timing and a little more split than you, generally. although they are making less power, so they can run more timing.

Trailing is working correctly. The ping is intermittent throughout the pull, so i believe the toggle is functioning correctly.

Im running BUR9EQ-Ps all around.

Ive seen those maps, im going to let my tuner take a look at it.

As noted above, Base timing can use some advance.

If worried about the trailing, why not pull it all to 15 degress past 8 psi , see if your issue still occurs.

And if it does still occur what does that mean?

you probably have something wired wrong.

Maybe do the following:

Check base timing, what pulley do you have ? , check the leading is firing correctly and then the trailing.

Change plugs, check wires ( resistance ) .

check coil wiring, are you running stock T2 trailing coils.

Nope. Wiring is correct. Base timing dead nuts at -5btdc. 200 mile bur9eq-ps all around. 500 miles on new msd 8mm wires. Stock tii coils.

I'm going to continue this troubleshooting on this thread:
