Every company that has a service is always trying to tell you that they have the cloud. It has never made sense since something as important as security may be better in your hands. Is it even worth it if this has to be a trade off like this? Cloud computing is everywhere, but is it really more secure?

It truly depends on how the cloud is being utilized. It's interesting you bring this up, as I was reading a source recently that mentioned while cloud adoption improves security for most, cloud breaches are very common. The increased accessibility can create vulnerabilities if not configured carefully. It really comes down to implementation and ongoing monitoring.

It would come down to what the needs of the customer are. Small companies might not have the money and resources to even protect internal cloud infrastructure. But large corporations will for sure put up resources to secure the data.
