i need help

i have an 88 fc3 convertible..i have a problem with my spark plugs being drowned its not my fuel pump.. in the past 2 months iv replaced battery alternator radiator water thermostat fuel filter spark plugs and spark plug cables.. my car turns on when it wants to, and when it does it chokes at 3500 rpm when driving.. iv heard from some people that it could be my stp or something like that.. help me out guys its a very minor problem.. the problem is when i try to start my car and it doesnt start i just drain my battery... im tired of recharging it.. any advice
