GB: Goopy Performance apex seal sets

This is a group buy for the Goopy Performance aftermarket apex seal sets, these seals offer added protection against detonation caused apex seal failures.

Before we get started i urge anyone to do your research and find out the pros and cons of each seal manufacturer to decide if these seals suit your application. Almost every seal has some benefit and some detriment versus other seals out there.

Goopy Performance offers 12A 3mm standard, 3mm oversized, 13B 2mm standard, 2mm oversized, 3mm standard and 3mm oversized. They also offer single piece apex seal sets in 2mm and 3mm for extreme bridged engines(out of stock for single piece oversized at the moment).

Read here for more general information on the seals and size ranges for your application:
Apex Seals | Goopy Performance

The seals mentioned in stock are ready to be shipped, the group buy will run for 3 weeks(due to the response required for some builds) and run until 50+ sets are ordered and those will be offered at the minimum discount rate for 3 months. if you need them right now i can offer sets at the 1-10 set minimum pricing.

This is the group buy pricing table, prices include shipping to the lower 48 US states, internation shipping will apply to those outside that area:

1-10 sets $325
11-25 sets $315
26-50 sets $305
51+ sets $295(minimum i can offer)

These sets include all 6 seals for a 2 rotor engine and retail for $350 plus shipping and do NOT include apex seal springs, OEM 3rd gen seal springs can be purchased for $90 additional.

For those who have worn rotor seal slots and require oversize seals please specify the size. Goopy Performance also sells rotor seal slot repair kits for oversizing your slots, i will talk to Jon about a discount for those kits if you order the seal sets.

It is recommended to stay 2mm or 2mm oversize when possible for even the highest horsepower applications. 3mm is only recommended if you are trying to salvage rotors or they have already been milled for 3mm seals.

The list will be updated in the order the commitments are made, since this applies to numerous engines and series this group buy will span several sections and hopefully get you the maximum discount rates.

Please specify whether they are being shipped to the US or internationally, also please specify whether you need standard size or any oversize seals.

Is the Goopy discounted housing refurbishing available with the group buy? It says on their website that anyone who purchases Goopy seals can have there housings refurbished for a discounted rate.

i will ask Jon about it, i tried looking up their package price on the website but it isn't working at the moment. i'm not sure if he or i would be willing to knock off another $50 for the seal and service discount as they sit, it's already a pretty decent deal.

I read on their website that anyone who purchases Goopy seals can have their housings refurbished for $150 as long as they pay shipping to and from Goopy. Normal price is $350+ shipping. Btw you are listed as a dealer on their Facebook page.

sorry that's what i meant, just said it in a manner that probably made no sense.

meaning the seal set and resurfacing is a $500 package deal which is $350 for the seals and $150 for resurfacing. ( i have also honored the package deal that Goopy offers by resufacing the housings here in Nevada for our West coast customers but i am not directly affiliated with Goopy Performance, anyone who wants Goopy to resurface the housings has to send them to Goopy in New York)

my meaning the resurfacing still being $150 but the seal set dropped to $300($295 actually, difference being roughly another $50 knocked off) if there were enough orders i might pursuade him to do it but at the moment it isn't looking too well for the order amounts to make the group buy worthwhile. i could drop the amounts but i don't think we want to go through the footwork if it's only going to be 10 sets for the group buy for the maximum discounts.

i did try to do better on the prices but the prices are fixed so as not to undercut other resellers. the resurfacing is a great deal as is with the package price((speaking of personal experience it takes 1.5-2 hours per housing for the refurbishing so at $75 per housing you won't beat our prices with the package).

Well regardless I'm going to be running Goopy seals you can put me down for the 2mm standard, it's a shame that other people aren't jumping on this. I live on the east coast so It would be cheaper for me to send my housings to Goopy.

i will update the list shortly and also add the names of those who bought the sets without waiting for the group buy, so those who are interested can determine if they want to wait for different tiers to save a few bucks depending on their schedules.

ok just let me know, i will update the list but i have to go through a few weeks worth of PMs. for most that's no problem, not for me. iirc we're still only about half way through the first tier.

$325 is still cheaper than $350+shipping, people seriously need to get on this, I'm sure you can't keep this going forever.

i will let you know, so far the orders have been small enough that i haven't bothered to really deal with this much and have just been selling them at the lower tier prices which is still a small chunk off.

the one piece seals weren't ready last time i checked but may be in stock now.

I am interested in 13b 2mm oversized apex seals, 2mm oversized side seals, and the rotor cleaning kit. Please keep me updated.

Any price cut on the side seals? I'm wondering why more people aren't getting the oversized.
