I am also interested in any of the carbon fiber engive bay covers.

A3VT UNLTD 08-25-10 12:37 PM

I think there is enough interest in the engine bay dress up part...

What's the price point on this?

I'm not sure yet, some where between $80-$100.

The picture above is a prototype. Here's a picture of the actual product.

Requires you to drill 2 small holes on the side for installation.

Will be ready to be ordered in 3-5 days and i will have more info by then.

nice!

I'm working on both OEM replacement and blank RHD AC Panels right now.

Looking for a LHD AC Panel to do the same. LMK if any one has one in good condition.

Race and OEM Door panels. Maybe integrate the door panels and trim panels together.

Most FD owners need interior door panels that don't creak and stretch and sound like they're going to break every time you pull the door closed.

I've got a passenger side door panel Id be willing to donate, its got no plastics, is a bit dirty, and a stray dog bit into it a little but i think its usable for what you need. :P Maybe you should integrate the door handle into it so it doesn't keep breaking.

I'll be following this for the center console updates; I could donate this piece as well, but Id need a CF one back ;)

I would also suggest integrating the plastic trim into the door panel. That is the root problem for all the flexing and noise the door panels make. I actually was working on a mold to do this but just haven't had the time to finish it, if I ever will.

the interior parts are carbon fiber replacement parts? if so im in for a full set. ill donate the door panel plastics to get those done too, i live local to you.

Haven't seen anyone selling the door pieces, anyone know who that is?

I think it's obvious what people want and need. Yeah Seibon makes them, but for $720 a pair is a little ridiculous. 99% of all FDs could use doors that don't creak. If they can be made affordably, there's already people interested.

widebodyseven 09-07-10 01:33 AM

I'm looking for center console, AC panel, gauge hood, gauge bezel, left/right door panel with all plastics/accessories and possibly dashboard also.

For both LHD and RHD.

I'll be making both OEM replacement and "race/track" versions.

We'll be dedicating most of my time towards the FD interior.

What about some vac infused doors ? including the interior side ? the rear bins area make a carbon drop in that would completely replace the rear bins ? id be down for either of those ? or some strong carbon headlight covers that wont fuckin break lol

HalifaxFD 09-14-10 07:45 PM

what about a shift knob and e-brake handle combo. We ship you ours, you work your magic and you ship it back. Just a thought.

rex7fd 09-18-10 05:17 PM

Rear trunk lid covers if i missed someone else requesting this.

kalinakona 09-21-10 04:57 PM

Any update on the interior development?

Doesn't look like there's a lot of interest but i'm working on a prototype/test piece for a RHD AC Panel. Then hopefully it would gather more interest.

If you were up here in SF, I'd lend you my doors. There're already half off since I'm working on strengthening them and getting them to not to flex as much.

It's really not hard to take the doors and interior panels off guys :)

BubbaTT 09-28-10 03:05 PM

I picked up some of that 3M carbon vinyl to do my door pieces, a/c panel, shifter, hood/gauge cluster. I also used a fiber glass bondo "tiger hair", to eliminate holes that I didn’t like/nor need. It all turned out absolutely awesome, but for the life of me I can't get that vinyl to cover the gauge cluster in one piece!

Long story short, even though that 3M stuff rocks I'd gladly pay 800-1000 to have CF replacement pieces if I could get rid of the holes I did on mine.

Make the rear engine cover. The knight sports one is a little extreme though

I quickly scanned the old posts but couldn't find anyone that answered you. Feed makes this. I think it may just be a cover though I forget.
