SBG: IGN-1A Ignition Kit Sale

To celebrate the release of our new PnP RX8 IGN-1A kit, we are extending the same pre-order sale pricing to all ignition kits! Pre-order sale pricing will be $650 and is good on all kits until we begin shipping (we are estimating 2-3 weeks on our restocking manufacturing order at this point for all ignition kits).

USE COUPON CODE 'IGN1A-FD' at checkout here -> Complete Package - IGN-1A Ignition Upgrade Kit + LHD Mount (FD3S RX-7) - SakeBomb Garage LLC

We're waiting on manufacturing for the next batch of FD coil kits which is being produced at the same time as our new FC and RX8 brackets. Kits come complete with coils, standalone mil-spec wiring harness (sourcing direct power from battery) with plug and play connectors for existing chassis wiring (both waste spark and direct fire applications), bolt on no-modification bracket, and PnP ultra-low resistance SBG MSD superconductor spark plug wires in black or red, and a full pictorial installation and setup guide.

We've sold countless FD kits to date, to replace everything from 20+ year old stock coils running an OEM ecu, to high boost E85 setups requiring maximum spark and fast recharge times. Hands down these are THE best coils out there for rotary setups, bar none. For more detailed information please see our product page here -> Complete Package - IGN-1A Ignition Upgrade Kit + LHD Mount (FD3S RX-7) - SakeBomb Garage LLC
… and if you know anyone with an RX8, we are also excited to be developing for the SE3P platform in addition to the FD chassis

If you’re interested in a kit or have already checked out please add your name to the list below. We have 20 FD coil kits on the way in this production run, with 5 being presold at this point.

Hi there. I tried to checkout on your site but it says "product unavailable at this time" for a great product and company.

Would I be able to do this group buy, but get the universal mount instead of the lhd mount?

Thanks,
Ryan

That's perfectly fine, just keep in mind that we're backordered on the universal mounts. We keep getting pushed back in the queue at our machine shop

We're waiting on our next run of LHD mounts to arrive back from the sheet metal shop; they should be here very, very soon. Once they arrive it's off to the welder and then powdercoat shop, and then we'll be ready to go. I'll fix the website so that both the LHD and universal are open for pre-order.

I am on the site now, and just wanted to clarify how to get the universal mount. Should I just order the lhd mount, then put a note in with the purchase? I would like the same wire length as the lhd mount option, so really the only difference would be the mount itself.

Thanks
Ryan

We've actually got a universal mount option (link) specifically set up for the FD.

Sorry. My mistake. I skipped over the part in the original post about the coupon code. Totally my fault.

I sent you guys an email the other night. I'm just looking for the wire lenghts you guys use for the LHD mount. I'm pretty confident that this wire length will work for how I'm thinking of mounting them. My engine is out of the car (and I am out of town for work for a while), so I cannot confirm an exact lenght for my application. I just don't want to go too short.

Thanks,
Ryan

I've been trying to get a hold of you guys a couple different ways but haven't heard back yet. I have tried to purchase the universal mount, but it is saying the coupon code cannot be used for that product.

Does this mean the universal mount is not available for the group buy? I apologize for any confusion, but that was the question I was asking in my first post in this thread.

Thanks

Generally it's about $80 USD, give or take a little bit.

No, this one's a package deal, sorry Full kit only. We typically don't put kit components on sale by themselves.

Finally had a chance to get back to you on that one. If you pick the general location, you can use a piece of string from the location of each coil tip to the corresponding spark plug, route it along a safe path that keeps the plug wires out of the way of any belts or other moving parts. We can make custom plug wire lengths with either straight or 90 degree ends for the coils depending on where you choose to mount them.

Thank you for the reply. I shot you back another email just to confirm the availability of the universal mount kit for the group buy.

This system is awesome and I'm very happy with the performance on my FD. I plan to update my build thread soon, but any IMO modified FD can benefit from this coil upgrade regardless of ECU
