The opposite direction is preferred because of the placement of the seat slider handle. Reaching down to slide the seat it is easy to grab the fire extinguisher handle accidentally. It is protected by the safety pin, but I would not want my passengers grabbing at that.

Despite what you may have tried, with the nozzle on the outside angled towards the seat, your legs do not hit it when getting in and out. Sure its possible, but you kind of need to try to do it.

Regardless, its user preference.
Yep, edit is not working. I agree it's user preference with either way working. My "testers" preferred it with the handle in and to date, there has been no issues grabbing the extinguisher handle instead of the seat handle

I never thought about grabbing the handle by mistake when trying to grab the seat lever LOL. Thanks for the input guys! I forgot to mess with it today. The main reason I put the handle towards the inside like that was just in case someone hit it with their foot or something. I figured if I put it that way it would be protected by the tranny tunnel, but I didn't think about grabbing for the seat adjustment lever.

I actually had it installed the opposite way at first but I didn't like it pointing so much at the passenger. I guess their leg would be over it anyway so it wouldn't really matter.

I'll change that, I forgot the new black bolts were larger than the OEM ones

Make it an IQ test:

1) If passenger reaches for seat slider but instead triggers the fire extinguisher, then immediately place them on the "never to drive the car" list and consider permanent ban as passenger as well; or
2) If passenger slides seat with fire extinguisher discharge, then still place them on the "never to drive the car" list but allow them to be future passenger.

Yes we can ship brackets to Canada, no we can not ship extinguishers as per federal regulations. You'll have to source your own extinguisher unfortunately.

I like that idea lol. Maybe I'll leave it on this side but point the nozzle at them anyway lol.

This would be a nice addition seeing my extinguisher is just sitting in the garage as I had not found a desirable place to mount it.

I've had a number of requests for another GB on the brackets/mounts/extinguishers. If we can get 15+ people on board we'll run another one.

We've just released our rear hatch mount and are running a pre-sale on that version now. https://www.rx7club.com/group-buy-pr...eview-1022747/
(not compatible with the Bose sound system)

We'll also be running a sale on the seat mount at the same time for those who missed the seat mount GB.

Extinguishers will be discounted with a purchase of either mount style. The fire sale (pun very much intended ) will run till the end of the month

Halon available (we're one of the only authorized automotive distributors for this aircraft grade extinguisher)

as well as standard Halotron

The search option using the rx7club app doesn't seem to work for me.. Does the seat mount work with spirit r seats and or does the slide function of the oem rails interfere?
