Hey Everyone! The time is near!

Yeah, SBG thinks this thread is about the mounts. But, it's not. This is about the quick release. Everyone wants it and nobody doesn't.

So, its been almost two weeks now and I paid immediately. I got no notification of this shipping out nor has there been an update on here. What is going on?

I don't work for SBG... but I *have* had the pleasure of dealing with manufacturers, large deliveries and packing / shipping tons of boxes.

On 10/08 SBG said the mounts were "a week away from arriving". If everything goes to plan (it never does) that means they get delivered on Monday 10/15. Do they get delivered at 8am or 6pm? Who knows.

Then you need to unpack them. Again, I have no idea... but if there were 60 people on the interest list, maybe that's 100 to sort through? Gotta count them, organize them, make sure there's no blemishes... maybe then they need to rebox them in SBG boxes, add hardware, label them, enter them into the inventory system. I mean, it takes time and especially if you need to do all those things x100. Ok. Now it's time to start shipping. You need to assemble the shipping boxes, print packing slips, shipping labels, etc, etc.

Again, not to give cover to SBG or excuse the delay... but we're not months or even a seven days past the estimated *arrival* date of the raw goods. I'm sure like they said, it'll get tended to and shipped ASAP, which means "as soon as possible"...



Full disclosure... I have one on order too and want it ASAP.

Matt - Totally get it man. My point is that communication has been dreadful in this thread from the get-go. For those that have already paid, you might expect a little heads up with "hey, got em in, should be going out in the next couple days or even early next week". I also bought the foot rest as well that is the more pertinent thing as its going to protect my wiring in the footwell and I would like to get it in prior to sending the car off to paint.

I know that you are aware of this but a company's behavior on the front end determines the customer's behavior on the back end. Once the car is running and painted the next planned upgrades are an oil cooler, better brakes, and a step up in the suspension. Why would I spend all that money with a vendor if they cant even get the little stuff right? (btw - you are doing it right on your end)

I've purchased quite a few things from SB and have always been pleased with their customer service. I even accidentally ordered an extra part that was included in a kit, which they caught, brought to my attention and promptly fixed the order and refunded.

I agree, a little update or some more comm on this particular product with the interest it has would be nice, but when dealing with as many orders on a mass scale like this, we need some patience.

It is not like they can shut down everything else they're doing to focus on one thing, THAT would not be a wise business move.

I agree. Im not saying they are a horrible company by any means. I dont expect them to focus on me alone but it does only take about a minute to jump on here and provide an update now and again when a GB goes live for purchase. Especially after how long this thing dragged on for.

Hey guys,
Thank you for your patience with us as we've been waiting on the new designs for the brackets to arrive. They are in,powdercoated, and shipping! This is for the rear hatch mount, AND the front seat mount (LHD/RHD compatible for driver/pass seat).

ALL NEW SEAT MOUNTS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH THE *UPCOMING* REDESIGNED QUICK RELEASE MOUNTS! They have mounting provisions for the H3R strap style mount that comes for free with all H3R extinguishers, as well as mounting provisions for our new and revised quick release mount... however... the new quick release mounts are not yet available. We are still in the redesign process to make the mount better, easier to install, with better alignment! These new quick release units are not yet production however.

I do realize that most people here do want the quick release option, but we did not want to hold up the entire group buy while we wait on the design and manufacturing for the QR pieces. We will have them available separately for anyone purchasing the mounts at GB pricing, and they will be discounted beyond the standard package pricing for anyone who purchases a mount during this group buy (so any time between now and Nov 3rd). So, this is a bit odd, but consider this atwo part GB... one for the mounts themselves which are available at GB pricing now on our website and READY TO SHIP, and secondarily with the NEW SBG Billet Quick Release Mounts which will be available soon (reverse compatible with any mount you pick up now!).

Hopefully this works as a stopgap for anyone looking to prevent their car from burning to the ground in the mean time. We are also back in stock (though starting to run low again) on LHD and RHD Spirit R footrests, and our NEW and revised 3 bar map sensor bracket (which mounts a GM 3 Bar OR now Apexi / Denso 3 bar sensor!!!) Thank you for bearing with us through the redesign process, and we appreciate your support for these parts, and for keeping the FD platform relevant. As we've been expanding our R/D resources to work on new parts for the FD our forum outreach / social media contact has gotten pretty quiet. Hopefully in the near future I'll be able to give you guys better communication on the forum instead of being sucked away working on these new projects... but we've got a LOT more in the works for this year

I agree with this. I think a ton of people have been impacted by shady shops which leads to a once-bitten-twice-shy mentality. Im guilty of it as well. Currently in that situation as well.
