Just saw this thread now, those red covers look amazing.

What is the lead time on ordering a set and having them ready? Only ask because I'm heading to the US next week. But I am guessing you would need much longer to get a set ready!

Great news!!! We have a completed privacy cover. I am still working on producing the plastic mounting parts and the rubber bumpers at the rear. I think we will launch the first group buy shortly and members can transfer their oem plastics from the bose covers they will be replacing.

-Austin

Compared to a NEW OEM cover. Our cover is in the foreground.

This was a set of seats we recently did for a customer in California. Now that they have arrived safely, I feel comfortable posting pictures. Full alcantara with double top stitching and perforated centers. Thanks goes out to Bob for giving us the opportunity to complete these covers for him.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys. We will get the group buy rolling on both the privacy cover and Recaro covers shortly. It is a very busy time of the year for us, thanks for the patience everyone.

You are not the first to ask me about covering a privacy cover in alcantara. The short answer is yes, it can be done. It would take some seams and would not be cheap though.

Can you do "kits" that i can mount myself for non-US customers?
Also, are all items flame retardent? I know alcantara is, but are you using automotive grade foam?

Fireproof products have been linked to carcinogens so it's not always a benefit. Esp in a DD that you spend alot of time in.

I hope to get the thread going early next week for the group buy. Pricing will be finalized in that thread.

Yes, we can make a kit that a customer can install themselves.

Most of the materials we use are actually not flame retardant. The type of alcantara we use is not. You are correct though, alcantara is available in a flame retardant version which is used heavily in aviation applications. The foam we use is not either. Again, we do have access to flame retandent versions of our foam, it is just triple the cost.

Thanks,
Austin

All modern car has to meet fire safety stsndards. "New car smell" is flame retardents. So any new daily driver has it. Having seen a cheap seat go from a small glow to inferno in 15 sec, its not something i want to experience again

Hey Nick, let me know when you go to purchase from Austin. I'm going to be ordering my leather and alcantara packages from him and possibly send my seats out.

My door panels haven't even been designed yet (to house the oversized 6.5" woofers), but it's going to be epic.

I'm interested in the flame retardant foam & Alcantara, so it would be much appreciated if you would set up the pricing to cover those options.
