loving it! cleans up the engine bay really well. 1 question. will the material u use hold up to the heat? do you think maybe adding some vent/fins above the MC and ABS unit will help direct some air out?

Was wondering the same...combined with AD9
Keep the nice hard work ;)
it's a really good looking piece of Art

I dont think heat will be an issue, It's essentially the same thing as your hood being close (think fiberglass and carbon hoods). However we as a precaution we are using VE (Vinylester) resin which is stronger and can handle higher heat temps versus standard PE (Polyester) and Epoxy resins :):icon_tup:

Thankfully the mold never left my house, IF this was lost in the shop fire it would 100% gone forever, wayyyyyyyy too much work in it:(

But I'm hoping give this another by the end of the month. I'm currently trying to located some space to do some layups since I need to be in a clean controlled environment. I've already got some material cut out for 3 covers so I just need to do the layup:blush:

Anyone want to try to buy the mold off muibubbles?

2016 coming to a close and every FD ever made still NEEDS this piece...

kensin 12-21-16 08:03 PM

I want this lol

Ruler_Mark 12-22-16 01:25 PM

I have a source deep in the bubbletech hierarchy and it is slated to be produced between now and when the next rx comes out.

7krayziboi 12-22-16 01:31 PM

The rx-vision is a dead project...
Mazda close the program.

rotary#10 12-24-16 09:34 AM

Hopefully that means sometime next year for the FD engine cover
