I'm a little confused here...

You do not appear to be a vendor on this forum. Please tell me how it came to be that you were allowed to post a group buy in the first place.

Next, how do we know what that package is? you told us over a month ago that they would be coming to you in 10 days. Then on 3/5, you said "they just got the container yesterday"...please explain for me how it is that you have paid customers waiting on these parts and yet, it took 15 days after "they got the container in" to ship the projectors out to you? Doesnt sound very reputable to me.....just my $.02 there. A reputable company would have shipped those things out ASAP...according to your posts here, they should have been fully aware of how badly you needed them, since you claim to have been constantly checking to see the status with them. That should have tipped them off.

 

I purchased group buy vendor for 3 months to hold a group buy. The estimates were from my supplier which ended up not being accurate. The container ended up not having my parts in it like I was told and the projectors came a week later.

 

When exactly did you purchase a three month vendor account?

Then you started up again at the beginning of this year. So far, your name is not on the list of approved vendors, so if you paid for a 3 month vendor membership, I'd like to know when that began.

 

I think it was around December 2013.

 

Might of been when I started this thread.

 

In those threads I said to those people they would have to wait for me to purchase a vendor account to buy the retrofits. I provided information on what they look like and misc questions after the group buy because a lot of people would ask. I did not sell any outside of my vendor period it takes a while for people to join in the group so often my vendor status expires before I even ship out some retrofits because they take a long time to make.

 

I'll have to vouch for turboIIrotary here. When I first posted / made the payment he had a vendor status going.
Which was one of the main reasons I jumped into this, and probably a few others too.

Sure its taken some time but the price is extremely good for what it is. Seeing as most similar kits are $600+ usually. I'm fine with the wait as long as I get them in the end

I see where you told him to look for your next group buy, but be careful....that easily looks like someone who's posting in a group buy thread without an active vendor account, telling people to PM him for "where and how much". It can be interpreted as you attempting to sell these lights through a group buy thread without a vendor status.

Oh well, at least you should finally have the finished product getting shipped out shortly....thanks for following up on this. Too many good ideas turned into GBs that went nowhere.

 

Good to hear man, it's been a very long time and I can't wait to get these bad boys. Make sure to take some pictures of my blacked out ones before you ship them out (I think mine were the first blacked out set paid for), there are a few people looking to see pictures of the lights blacked out before they pay in full.

Well I got the projectors in yesterday but they only sent half of them. I am also missing my shroud rings. Hopefully I will get those things in a timely manner this time.

I will have some photos of the black housings late tonight.

 

Sounds good man, glad to see they finally came in though. Its weird you only got half though! Were you expecting to get them all in at one time?

 

Yeah but I think I know where they messed up. The way they set of their invoice is they count a pair as one item so they must of just saw 15 and shipped that many instead of 30.

 

I imagine you feel like I am riding your ***, but it seems like a good suggestion would be to try and get some of this stuff on hand BEFORE committing to the jobs in the future, if you know it will be this much trouble to get the stuff. 2+ months to get parts is not really acceptable for any vendor/supplier. I would have fired them long ago if they were my supplier.

 

I wish I could get these things before hand but I am just your normal garage guy and don't have thousands of dollars on hand. I have never had trouble with my supplier before and as far as I know they are the only people who distribute these parts unless I get them straight from over seas but I won't get support and you guys won't get the warranty.

 

Here we go. These are not painted yet they are just stripped but it will give an idea of what it will look like.

 

Thanks for the updates! Everything will get taken care of in time I'm just glad to be in the group buy for some awesome lights so I'll finally be able to see at night lol.

 

I think if you had some extras already made and on hand to sell you would have a lot more buying them. If you had them on hand right now I would buy right now. Many people just don't do group buys exactly because of the problems you are having. I'm watching and waiting myself.
