red_ricer went above and beyond!!!!
Well I was in the market for a new turbo and manifold so decided to hit the classifieds and low and behold what did I find but red_ricer's part out thread. He had an almost brand new Borg Warner S372 and a divided manifold along with downpipe and oil lines that he was selling for 900 bucks! This was perfect because I was looking to get away from my cheap masterpower turbo and go to something more reliable but didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. Also couldn't stand the on/off switch style boost pattern my log style manifold was giving me so the divided manifold was a cherry on the top. Anyways I paypal'd him the money and he quickly shipped everything off via USPS and sent me the tracking number for each box.
Here is where the story takes a turn, within a few days, two of the three boxes came in. First the downpipe which looked good! and then the turbo
It was exactly as he described and pictured. Well now for the 3rd box and then I'm ready to bolt this sucker up and go! Well after a week and no 3rd box I pm'd him and told him I never received the manifold box. Well wasn't long before he was writing me back telling me exactly what the ladies at USPS were saying and of course they are inept so no matter how many times he called or went up there, they would always tell him the same thing, "we can't find it but it'll turn up". Gotta love government run crap, if you can't find a package with a tracking number at your own facility then there is something fundamentally wrong somewhere with your system.
Anyways a month or so goes by and still no package but constant communication was made back and forth and I never once felt like I was being cheated out of money or a manifold. The next step was to either get a refund from red_ricer or he opted to buy another manifold and have it shipped to me. Well I opted for the manifold because damnit! I want a divided manifold already!
Well he buys a manifold off of a fellow forum member by the screen name Gurew who said he had one that just had a small dent on one of the runners. Well I saw the picture he had which looked fine however being that red_ricer works with all these materials on a daily basis he was going to have the manifold sent to him so he could fix the small dent and weld my wastegate flange on to the manifold (Awesome!) Well after a month of trying to get the manifold from Gurew or even contact him after the sale he filed a claim through paypal and got his money back and then refunded me the price of the manifold. I really feel bad that red_ricer had to go through all this for a damn sale. Hopefully it didn't turn him off to selling stuff on the club because we need more honest people like this that will go above and beyond no matter how screwed up a damn transaction can get. He was always honest and a pleasure to do business with through all the BS. Thanks for making an otherwise horrible transaction relatively pain free on my part. If you are ever in my neck of the woods drinks will be on me!!!

Just to add to this guys coolness factor, the oil feed and return lines where in the manifold box that got lost. This guys orders brand new oil feed and return lines and fitting from summit and has them shipped to my house. I got them yesterday. Any time you come down this way man the beers and the good cajun food is on me!!! Thanks again!
