How to handle a shipping situation properly.

A week ago I sold an Apexi Dual N1 Exhaust to forum member ZipRex. On Wednesday I received a very polite message from him asking if the exhaust had been shipped. As the exhaust was supposed to have arrived by Tuesday, I was a bit confused.

I quickly sent proof of insurance and tracking and discovered that the package had *supposedly* been delivered. ZipRex noticed that on my insurance and delivery confirmation that I had the correct zip code. However the Post Office had delivered to an incorrect zip somehow.

ZipRex and I spoke on the phone this morning and he in turned called the USPS. Supposedly it was a mistake and they had never delivered it all despite what the tracking information said. The good news is that at some point in time today, USPS actually showed up at his house with the package.

The Moral of the story: There certainly scammers and crappy people selling on the forum from time to time. Thankfully we have an active Mod crew that handles those issues. However you can't always jump to conclusions and as a seller I appreciate ZipRex taking the time to approach me first and figuring out what had happened instead of pointing fingers and starting a bad guy thread.

Thanks dude and welcome to the Club!

No problem man. I finally managed to get some time under the car and got it installed today. It sounds great and should definitely flow quite a bit more than my 18 year old stock unit that was starting to develop holes! I appreciate your quick responses and the phone call. I'll send you a message with some of my other needs soon
