FD James - Crazy But Good Story (Happy Ending Style)
So...back in late November/Early December I sold a used AST to a forum member: FD_James aka Sean.
Generally I ship packages USPS online with tracking but this package I took in with some others and on this particular package, lost the damn tracking receipt. Didn't matter, figure it made it there.
About a month after I shipped, Sean PM'd me and said the package hadn't arrived. I was incredulous...not to his claim but of course the one damn package I didn't pay for online went missing.
Although it sucked, because I had shipped the package, I refunded Sean's money because it was the right thing to do.
Well today I get a PM from Sean telling me he found the package. Where he had shipped it to had written his name down wrong and kept telling him the package wasn't there.
So why take the time to post this? In a community as small as the rotary community there are people and shops who prey on us and in this very section you can see the horror stories. That being said, I do believe the vast majority of sellers/buyers are honest. This is a great example of how communication, where no one lost their temper and were adults ended up in having a happy ending.
Thank you for your honesty Sean!
