**when Shipping To Canada**
Please for god sake use usps. They charge 50% less that of others like fedex.
Also please send as a "Gift" then we will not get boarder fee's. And the fee's can be as much as like 30 buks for a 100 dollar item. So just please for our sake, follow these guidelines.
1) Use usps www.usps.com
2) Check as a "gift" on the shipping form, so they wave the Customs Fee's.
Thanks guys,
-Mark

I just follow the Canadian buyers "guidelines". If they tell me to send it as a gift, I do so with the understanding that if something is lost in transit it's "THEIR" loss. As long as that understanding exists, I have no objection to shipping anyway they like.

Notes:
1. Gift shipments (non-commercial parcels) require a sales receipt, invoice or other documentation to support the declared value.

^^^^ you don't have to do that, never heard of it or anything. One of those things where they always over look it.
How could the package be lost in transit anyways? Still have my address, and the sellers address, just on the form you fill out check on it as a "Gift". And it will be sent accordingly.

i live 15 minutes from the border so i get my stuff shipped to North Dakota an pick it up myself. Last thing i ordered that I got shipped to Canada was a roll cage, cost me $550 for the cage, $150 shipping an $150 to UPS for duty an gst.
As for the gift thing, it has to have a declared value an origin of make to cross the border into Canada. I've had many "gifts" come for me, but i had to bring it back till I had a reciept showing the value of it, an then pay tax on it.

The canadians can't have their cake and eat it too.
You either want cheap shipping with little or no duties,
OR
you want timely shipping with accurate tracking and insurance coverage in case of loss or damage.
Thus far I have not found a way to do both at the same time.

I don't know..We have never had a problem with USPS priority shipments. 6-10 days hardly any hassles.
We found another solution though. A Canadian Distributor for our products. RPM Motorsports will import and stock our line and ship to the Canadian customers from their warehouse. Looks to be a win for our customers.

Yep, don't use Fed-Ex or UPS, USPS www.usps.com is the ONLY way to ship from the USA to Canada in a cost-efficient manner. And timely if i do say so myself.

USPS FTW. ALSO for those who asked about the gift. You will still get charged on the insurable amount if it is insured.
SHIP AS WARRANTY REPLACEMENT. It can be insured and customs are waived. I have NEVER been charged customs of GST on items shipped as that.
UPS charges brokerage, Fedex ships you a bill later, USPS is the way to go
