Dropped my car off with Shawn and Elliot at Turblown in Minnesota to install a fuel surge tank setup in my FD. Bought all the components from them as well. Any time I've dropped my car off to have work done by a shop has always been nerve racking for me as I've had very bad experiences before, coming down to the shops incompetence/over confidence in their techs ability to provide quality work you would come to expect when paying almost $100 an hour for labor.
This experience has restored my faith in such. Shawn and Elliot were both extremely professional and organized in all aspects. If I had a concern about anything it was addressed.
Shawn came up with a design for the setup. He used a polycarbonate sheet to mount the surge tank to also utilizing existing trunk studs, no drilling of any holes in the trunk. Also used some 3M double sided tape to eliminate any vibration. A Leash Electronics relay power board to stage the 2nd surge tank pump under higher load. The relay board is connected to my battery that is relocated in my driver side bin and also connected to my Adaptronics ECU for staging control.
I can say I am extremely happy with how the install came out. Shawn's attention to detail is on point and it shows right down to the different styles of techflex loom he used to identify the wiring and hardware that matched the surge tanks'. They even corrected some of the previous work done by another shop on the cars fuel system setup.
Will definitely be bringing my car back for more upgrades.
Thanks Turblown!
