RX7.com FTW

This may be a simple tale, but it's made me very happy nonetheless. It's the first positive experience without exception that I've had since I got a horrible project roller almost 3 years ago.

I contacted rx7.com back in December of 2016 to ask about RX8 5 speed shift **** I saw on their site. Ari got back to me within a day to let me know they had some on the shelf ready to ship. At the time, I wasn't sure of the status of my car so I let it slip from my mind.

I reached out to rx7.com again earlier this week on Oct 17th to ask if they still had some. Ari responded an hour later that they had them. I placed the order on their site and waited. I expected some lead time, it was very late in the night so I was thinking it would ship on the 19th.

I got notification of shipment on the 19th. So far, I was pleased. Prior RX7 (not store, just car) experience has made me skeptical and pessimistic about things, and this was a good positive moment.

Then, I get an inbox notification from rx7.com that said my payment was refunded. I was immediately in total pessimist mode. I thought to myself, they didn't have the *****, I was BSd yet again while dealing with this car, back to trolling eBay for an overpriced used poor-condition ****.

Oh how wrong I was. rx7.com refunded me part of the shipping cost! Turns out they didn't need to use UPS since it was a small package and it was coming USPS Priority. I got a partial refund of the shipping. I arrived home today on the afternoon of the 21st and I see a USPS Priority package sitting at my door.

I opened it up, expecting a used or worn or basically not perfect ****. These things are from old cars, so it can't be perfect. I opened the package and was literally excited by what I saw. First time with anyting RX7 related that I was totally "happy". Not to mention, it was packaged like it could survive a free fall from a skyscraper.

I felt the need to take pics and post them here. The **** is completely flawless, brand new, and still wrapped in that translucent blue plastic on the top. The leather is spotless. It's definitely brand new. To add to that, even current eBay prices for used poor-condition ***** is higher than that rx7.com has them up for normally! I feel like I found a freagin unicorn.

To sum up, thanks rx7.com for a simple yet great buying experience. You and the community have no idea how much it means to me for this to have gone so well, but trust me, you restored my faith in this project of mine.

New OEM USDM FD ***** have a Mazda list price of over $200.

Ari (owner of rx7.com) is a great guy and longtime member of this community--not to mention a record-setting drag racer with his Stars & Stripes FD3s.

I've been buying parts from him for over 20 years, and he's one of the rare good guys out there

Not sure what your beef is, but maybe you should take your sour grapes over to Facebook, 7club certainly doesn't need them

i guess for one i don't much care for the RX8 shift *****, they wear out far too quickly and then look like poop. why anyone would spend over $200 on a shift **** is beyond me.

Back when RX7.com was one company, I purchased 99 spec rebar, bumper skin, and tail lights.

After I got my package, I emailed them if they also sell the front lip. After a week had passed without a reply, I emailed them again.

They replied back, apologizing that they were not able to reply back and sent me the lip for FREE.

No surprise to me, contacted Ari since I started having fun tinkering on the 7 again and I had my parts in 2 days to Georgia.
