I hate to ask cause I thought this would be something in the FAQ or somewhere but I couldnt find anything on here or anywhere else. I'm new to the rx7 and I've been floating around the forums the last few months hiding in the archives. You guys have documented a lot of great stuff btw, really gave me a good picture of what I'm getting myslef into.

Anyways, my question: I'm curious what changed year to year with the 13B from 86 all the way to 02, S4 to S8. Mostly the diffrences between the FC turbo version and the 3 diffrent turbo versons in the FD. I know there are power differences but nobody can tell me where that power comes from.

I'm just more curious than anything and nobody seem sto have documented it anywhere I can find. I know its a lot of info to explain in here. I was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction where to find this sort of thing. I've found pictures of the port size comparison between the S5 and S8 in the housing and intake manifold. But I want something a little more specific.

Guys on another rotary forum directed me to this link http://www.rotaryengineillustrated.com/RE101.html I found it very usefull and it answered most of my questions and a bunch of other ones I had as well.

Figured I'd post it up incase someone stumbled acrossed this thread in a search, as most other threads in the search are the same un answered questions or people just being told to search.

Mostly I was looking for diffrences in rotors, compression, intakes, 4 port and 6 port diffrences etc.. That site covered some of it. Some of the other stuff is intersting for those like me just getting into the inner workings of these things.
