will a 91 rx-7 motor std trans fit in a 91 auto vert ??? Was wanting to know ??? Also will a 91 motor fit in a 86 body ok or will the in intake off the 86 have to be unsed on the 91 motor ??? I guess maybe that everything under the hood would have to be switched to make the 91 motor work in the 86 car ??? thanks for all your help, ted

 

It'll work but I think you need to change to the appropriate counterweight.

'91 motor will fit in the '86 body. Not sure about the intake manifolds working but if you want to run the '91 motor stuff, expect to do a lot of rewiring.

 

thanks for the help dan. When swapping a 1991 motor into a 1986 body can a person just keep all the wiring on the motor and swap out the ecu with the 91 motor and put it in the 86. Or i guess the wiring under the dash that plugs into the ecu may be different correct ???? thanks again ted
