wide band O2 sensor opinions
i have a few questiionx for thoughs who have wide band O2 sensors.
Do you notice a difference in performance?
Is it useful for tuning?
do you suggest it?
what do you like about it?

Hi,
Difference in performance, yes, via a better handle on the AF ratio. I went with the DIY kit from TechEdge in Australia a few years back. Using the Apexi SAFC, I am able to modify the AF ratio enough to pass emmissions with a single cat, and keep the the car rich enough under boost.
There are a few others out there now, and I know that TechEdge has made improvements since the version that I purchased, but I do like the numerical display, and the fact that it uses a relatively inexpensive O2 sensor. I did add this as a second sensor, leaving the stock O2 sensor connected to the ECU. I believe now that they can signal the ECU correctly, needing only 1 O2 sensor now.
