why?

does anyone know what the coolant line in the throttle body of an fd is for? i want to bypass it but i don't want to cause my car to do something i don't like.

IT is for the cold start fast idle ,wot wax rod , sounds ,look it up. it is easy to disconnect, some wire the adjuster back but you can just position the screw correctly to disable it , To clean out the tubes and hoses you can remove the water nipples from the waterpump housing and the nipple on the rear housing and plug them with screw in pipe plugs, Garfinkle has been doing this for 6 or 7 years with no cold start problems.If you plug the holes you get rid of 3 hoses and 1 metal tube, he caps the nipples on the throttle body to keep dirt out and it looks better than open holes.
