engine blowning white smoke whats wrong

 

You are burning coolant, possibly a blown head gasket.

If you're burning white smoke you are probably burning coolant.
You might have a blown coolant seal.

Could be time for a rebuild.

I feel like an idiot, I could of swore I was in the "General Automotive" section, I swear! I was just there looking for this thread, for what ever reason I couldn't find it.

That is the last time I try to use any part of my mind on my lunch break again.

lol, it's either going to be a HG if it's a piston engine or a coolant seal if it's a rotary engine...

Each costs money to redo the engine or heads...

 

I beg to differ. I had a turbo DSM (eclipse) that I fried the turbo in. It bellowed white smoke, not blue. I had fried the seal around the shaft and was getting horrible oil blow by. If your RX happens to be turbo then you might be in luck, it could be a turbo issue and not something engine related. I recommend pulling the intake off at the throttle body and swiping a finger across the inside of the intake. if its oil coated then you need a new turbo my friend! Of course this only counts if you have the turbo RX. If its NA then its a much bigger issue. Hope this helps!
