What is this and what does it do??

I was just wondering if anyone could help me to identify what this thing on the intake plennum is. Is it required. I have no emmissions. Can i remove it and put a block off plate there? IF someone could take a picture of where theres goes that would be very much helpful... THank you!!

BAC actually. Bypass Air Control valve. It is to help your car idle when you have large loads on it like A/C. It bypasses the TB to add air. It is not acssociated with emissions and some people have blocked it off without problems but some people have probelms. Try unplugging it and see what happens. If it is okay, then block it off.
