Angry What The Hell Is Wrong With This Idel

I got this 93 3rd gen and when i crank it up it idels over 5000 rpm, before this it would idel high then drop and keep doing so. I changed out the TPS (throttle positioning sensor) and thats when it just ideled above 5 grand will somebody please help me befor i burn this thing.

Have you tried changing the TPS back to the old one? Are the connectors and wires hooked up right?

Try unhooking the battery for an hour or so to let your ECU reset itself.

yeah its still flashing the tps code so im going to unhook the battary and let is sit for an hour and see what happends. The code is 12 and 18 those are the tps codes right?

check to make sure there is some slack in your throttle cable. or maybe your throttle stop is mis adjusted

checked all of that, it only started doing this latley. and yesterday i removed the boost sensor hose and it only ideled to 3000 rpm hooded it back in and it reved back to 5000 rpm.

sounds like a big ol' vacuum leak and a mis adjusted tps
