what goes here

ok heres the run down.
car sat for over a year awaiting me to return from overseas to get it to a shop for a rebuild and single set up. durring this time i am sure that there are things that have been misplaced removed or thrown away, as we moved a few times before i got it into the shop.
once all said and done with single build running pfc and battery relocation got it off of the trailor and started it up hooked up headlights, installed front bumper was getting ready to take of on first test drive. but noticed i didnt have any tail lights or marker lights. also windshield wipers would not work.
headlights and blinkers worked fine.
through some research on the forum found a few posssible things that could be wrong. i have narrowed it down to power not getting to the headlight switch since i jumper wired tail lamps off of the headlamp power source from the front of the car and they turn off and on from the switch. but this does not fix my problem it is mearly a temp fix to get by.
i did notice however that there was something missing electrical wise, near some of the relays. i dont know if it was something that was taken off at the shop and never put back on or if it is something that i dont need due to the stand alone engine man.
i do know that there is power going to it but not going through it sence what ever is saposed to plug in isnt there.
heres a pic lemme know what it is and if i need it and what it controls so i can fix it

that is your diagnostic plug for the mazda special tool to plug into to test the various functions of the engine, the cover is simply missing.

i'd check all the fuses inside the car, sounds like you have a popped tail light fuse or it is missing.

all fuses have been gone through the only other thing i can think of is it might be the tns relay but when i move it to the fuel relay spot since it is the same relay the fuel pump stil runs so the only other thing i can think of after that is a short in what ever wire is the power source to the column for the light switch and wiper switch or something there after. i havent had much time to plug at the wiring w/ a meter nor do i know what wires coming out of the column are marker lights and tail lights as they change colors from one connector to the other down the drivers side of car. and i am not vary wire schematic savy

well i do find it strange that the front markers work, which tells me the wiring to the switch is all functioning fine and just that the wiring to the tails isn't getting power from something being unplugged between the switch, fuse box or rear harness. see if the tail lamp fuse is getting any power at all.

Well the marker lights are not getting power unless I jump power from the headlights same with tails but headlights blinkers and break lights all work. I understand these run from different fuse then the tail lights but still run from the same switch. I know the dash lights marker lights and tail lights are on the same circuit. Because I had none of these until I jumped the power from the headlights. So it has to be the power source leading to the switch from that circuit that has the short. I haven't had the time to check all fuses with the meter yet. One question for these circuits do they run through the fuse before or after the switch this would help me narrow down the search for the short
