What 7 to buy????

After being on here a few days and spending many hours reading through post and doing search's I have finaly realized I need to ask this questio.

What car to buy?

Her eis what I am wanting to do..

Radical full bridge port and a turbo, fat tire on the back something liek a min tubb and a 275 drag radial and skinnies ont he front like a 165 beetle tire.

Fuel milage is not important. This will be the occasional drive to work car and weekend fun car. I really like the 79 model 7 for the tail lights. Changing the rear end is no big deal for me so getting a 5 letter car is not that important.

I found a 5 letter car 85 model with a s5 6 port motor. Motor is fresh but the car needs to be painted and what not... I was advised against the 6 port becauseof the fab work to turbo it. Is it that much to do or just a custom header?

It is $500 more than I want to spend on the initial car. Then I found a 79 online 12a 100l miles that runs perfect per the owner and they are willing to drive it to me over 4 hours to deliver it.. So it must run decent.. This car is $1400 which is $600 below...

How workable would this one be with a blow through setup? I have allot ecperince with turbo's and can do some welding ...

Or should I find a turbo 2 car that needs repair and work that route? I would prefer something to drive now and collect parts for it later...

What to do? I value yalls opinions and welcome your ideas...

well if you want to mini tub the car then you should go with a 1st gen.
if you want a fast car to drive on a daily basis i would go with a turbo II.

1st gens are easier to make race cars than a turbo II or FD.if i where you i would buy a 1st gen do a turbo II engine swap and have fun....ether way you look at it get ready to spend more than $2000

I have a budget on buying the car... Not modding it.. I would rather buy one and do it myself then buy somethign someone else has butcherd... That is why the low $$ amount on getting one..
