Vibrations, tinging, and thunking in drive train.....Help Pinpoint Problem(s)

87 N/A
w/ 90 N/A Motor

ok here is the deal....I’m thinking I need to replace rear end....drive shaft....and tranny....AGAIN! or a combo of them.

Ok first and most annoying problem..... Major vibrations but they seem to only be under acceleration. If I am going down the highway at like 80 and start to accelerate the car vibrates like crazy but as soon as I lift off the gas the vibrations smooth right out... drive shaft? Well at least I have one of those lying around.

Second when at a stop, as I start to move I hear/feel a deep thunk coming from the rear-end area. But if I ease into gear I hear/feel nothing. Possibly a rear-end mount? Or the rear end itself......I think I want to change it any way.....NOT LIMITED SLIP! I live on a hill and need it in the snow.

Third I hear a metal ting sound coming from where the shifter is (tranny area) it’s just random from time to time..... Seems to happen more often under acceleration. also I noticed tonight that I could hear a bubbling sound (most likely oil being pushed out of where the shifter goes into the tranny) over 3K in fifth gear. I got under the car and saw the tranny is covered with oil coming from the top. How can I stop this? Rebuild? Any idea on the ting sound almost like a hammer tapping the side of the tranny.

then tonight on the way home.....almost no vibrations, unless i really get on it.......whats the deal????
thanks for any help

Here are some ideas on the thumping. I have ideas about your tranny probs, other than to take it to a rotary shop...
