Exclamation Urgent! car dies while driving

i have a 83 mazda rx7 12a stock, i had the problem for awhile now so the car sat for awhile because of it. ok so here it is, when i start driving i can get 2 miles and then the car chokes up once or twice then it just dies. i can restart it once or tiwce then i have to let it sit for 30min or more to get it to start up again. it idles fine and will do it for hours but if i drive it it will die.

ok so fuel filter looks clean and the fuel pump does come on and run fine but does any body know what the two other things are that connect to the fuel lines?

ok so i think those things are the check and cut valve and vapor valve. does anybody know if those can cause the car to not get gas?

confirm fuel flow. there is a procedure described in the FSM. also, regardless of how the filter looks, it can be clogged. they're fairly cheap so just go ahead and replace it.

other than that, it sounds like the Nikki may need a rebuild. you can try cleaning it, but i tend to think you're beyond that at this point.

i pulled my gas line off going to my carb and turned the pump on and i am getting a weak stream. so i replaced the fuel filter but while doing so i put a hose down into a bottle of gas so the pump would just suck from it and not go through the filter. well when i turned the pump on it was a nice strong stream. so i hooked the new filter up and when i tested it again it had a weak stream. does this sound like a weak pump to anyone else?
