unexplained fuel cuting

I have an 88 TII with moderate to extreme mods and, I am haveing a problem with what i believe is feul cutting. It occurs when im on the throttle enough to kick out the tires around a corner, 100% throttle in a straight away, and if i hold it at around 5000 rpm in gear. during any one of these occurrances the engine dies out w/ no combustion. (note) this does not occur every time. does anyone have any clue what is going on?

That happens to me when my gas tank is 1/4 full or less.
