Turning Right Makes A Noise
Turning Right Makes A Noise
Ok, This is my first time posting. I own a 1990 RX-7 GXL. I have driven it for a while now, and I have had no issues really. As of recently, when I make a right turn that is more than lets say 25 degrees, I hear a sound that is almost like a tire that is rubbing on the inside of the body of the car. It does not really feel like something is dragging or anything, but it makes this horrible rubbing noise. I d not really know how to describe it. The car runs great if it weren't for this noise when I turn a semi-hard right. I have already put new tires on the car beacause I recently had a blowoult on the highway, so I replaced all 4 just to ben careful. I am basically asking if anyone would have a clue on what the rubbing noise could possibly be, I am a really handy person, and I can fix most anything. as long as I am directed to the correct position. I would like to figure out what the noise is. If there is anyway that you could help in this matter, please feel free to PM me or just reply to this post. Thanks again in advance. Happy trails in your 7.
See if you can find any marks on you shock tower or wheel well. If it doesnt look like anything is rubbing anywhere, my next step would be wheel bearings. They can make really weird noises, and if your turning right when you here the noise, its probably your left bearing, as the car is "pulling" on that wheel.
