Timing

Timing

Someone told me that there was no timing gear? But I've been told that there is a timing chain....how can you have a chain w/o a gear? And, if these dont have timing chains/gears, how are they timed?

that chain drives the oil pump. don't know if u could call it a timming gear, but it does drive the distributor, same as with any other engine with a distributor, it's direct gear driven.
