thermostat bypass valve 20B and 13B FD

Hi all.

I have a question about the oil system on the 20B, and the 13B off an FD.

In the rebuild video, there is a description about an eccentric shaft
bypass valve that is controlled by a thermostat-device. On the video, they
are bypassing this device, and leaving it open all the time. The device is
located in the eccentric shaft flange, were the front pulley bolts up.

Is this device on the 20B engine? Is it necessary to disable this like in
the video? (ditto questions for a FD 13B engine).

Looking forward to your replies.

Don't know if it is on the 20B, but in the 13B it is not necessary to remove it, just highly recommended. I took mine out and replaced it with the dummy plug that is shorter to allow oil to flow to the rotors all the time, and not only when the oil finally reaches a higher temp.
