That is odd, I have not heard of tensioning bolts snapping... Until that!

I guess if a bolt snapped...so it doesn't go into the fly wheel?

That is a neat idea but I have only heard of it happening twice in the 10 years I have been involved with RX7s. IMHO I think it is such a rare occurance it is not necessary to protect against it. Sort of like carrying two spare tires. Sounds like a good idea if you have ever had two flat tires at once but not really practical.

And if you do happen to break a tension bolt, you'll never know it. So you might save a flywheel, but lose an engine.
