yep thats the only thing that i spotted. what about anything else with the intake? can you tell how old/new the hoses are by these pics b/c the engine was replaced 6k miles ago. thanks alot

For the little small hoses like under the manifold, just gently squeeze them between your fingers. If they are flexible, they are probably fairly new. If they feel very hard you should replace them the next time it's convenient to do so.

Other hoses like the radiator hoses can be checked by just looking and feeling. Old hoses usually develop a "dried out" look to them and may feel hard and dry on the surface. Not kinda soft and grippy like a new hose. Beware of any water hoses with bulges in them that look funny.. it might be about to burst! Do an extra good check on the two large radiator hoses. I know a few people that have had the big long one break.
